Cheese Biscuit Recipe

Ingredients for Cheese Biscuits:
– Cream cheese: 90g

– Butter: 90g

– Fresh egg yolk: 1

– White sugar: 50g

– Cake flour: 190g

– Baking powder: ¼ teaspoon

Method for Making Cheese Biscuits:

Step 1: Soften the cream cheese and beat it with sugar until smooth.

Step 2: Add small pieces of room-temperature butter into the beaten cream cheese and mix until well combined.

Step 3: Incorporate a warmed fresh egg yolk, beating until the yolk is fully integrated with the butter.

Step 4: Combine cake flour and baking powder, then sift into the butter mixture, folding until no dry flour remains.

Step 5: Place the mixed dough into a large plastic bag and roll it out with a rolling pin to a uniform thickness of 0.8cm. Use a small straw to poke irregular small holes and a larger straw for a few bigger holes. Cut the dough into small right-angled triangles.

Step 6: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake for 30 minutes until the color darkens. Since my oven runs cooler, you may want to use around 160 degrees and adjust the baking time accordingly.

Step 7: The finished product will have a crispy texture and rich milk flavor, perfect for serving with black tea.
