Fortune Jar New Year Cake Recipe

Ingredients:


– 90g low-gluten flour


– 4 eggs


– 45g corn oil


– 95g milk


– 70g fine sugar (for batter)


– 220g whipping cream


– 20g fine sugar (for cream)


– 50g cream cheese


– Fresh strawberries (as needed)



Instructions:


1. Whisk corn oil and milk in a bowl until emulsified. Add egg yolks and mix well.


2. Sift in low-gluten flour and fold gently.


3. Whip egg whites with sugar using a stand mixer: start at low speed, then increase to medium-high until soft peaks form.


4. Fold 1/3 of the meringue into the yolk mixture in a Z-pattern. Combine with remaining meringue using the same technique.


5. Pour batter into a mold, tap twice to remove air bubbles, and bake at 150°C for 30 minutes. Cool completely before demolding.
