A Record of Homemade Birthday Cakes for Family

I usually make a birthday cake for my family members each year unless there’s a special reason not to. Here’s a documentation of those creations.

Most cakes use the previously shared Orange Chiffon recipe as the base.

Highlights include:

– Son’s 8th Birthday: Minecraft-themed cake.

– Daughter’s 5th Birthday: Mermaid house cake with rainbow layers for a surprise effect. The flavor is the Orange Chiffon as mentioned before. Two types of decorations were made: a fish tail crafted from colored melted chocolate in a mold, and sea anemones shaped from fondant.

– Daughter’s 4th Birthday: Unicorn cake.

– Son’s 6th Birthday: Car rainbow stack cake with mini car-shaped chiffon cakes on top.

– Daughter’s 3rd Birthday: Rainbow Baby cake featuring rainbow chiffon inside and a chocolate bean filling.

– Son’s 4th Birthday: Shark-shaped cake.

– Son’s 4th Party: Ocean-themed cupcakes and Oreo sea salt cupcakes.

– Son’s 3rd Birthday: Car-shaped cake.

– Daughter’s 1st Birthday: Pig-shaped cake.

– Daughter’s 2nd Birthday: Hand-painted Peppa Pig cake.

– Son’s 1st Birthday: Cake with fresh fruit and yogurt frosting.

– Husband’s Birthday: Miniature landscape cake depicting mountains, rivers, and seas, using a Biscoff caramel Basque cheesecake as the base.
